#36 Eat Pizza in Italy

I’ve had a love affair with Italian pizza since the first time I went to Italy in 2003. That trip, we visited Florence, Pisa and Venice. In 2018, we explored Rome and Naples. Fast forward to November 2023, I finally got to northern Italy and tried Milano cuisine. Our latest trip to Italy over New Year’s 2024 had us back in Rome and Venice and we added Rimini and San Marino (technically its own principality, but landlocked by Italy, so we will count it!)

I’m still holding with my opinion that Florence has the best food, but we had some great pretty great pizza this trip.

Rome – Ristorante Bar Pasticceria Benedetto (Located West of the Trastevere neighborhood)

San Marino – Ristorante Bolognese (in Old Town near the Gate of St Francis)

Venice – La Piazza (Near Saint Mark’s Square)
