#48 – Part II – Go on an Adventure that Someone Else Plans – Las Vegas!

After a lengthy delay getting from Los Angeles to Las Vegas (thanks Santa Ana winds), we arrived! We checked into The Venetian. We had missed our dinner reservations for that night, so we explored the Strip, went to see the Bellagio Conservatory and had dinner at In-N-Out Burger.

Our theme of “adapting” became a must as our helicopter ride scheduled for the next morning was cancelled due to weather again, and it rained most of the day. Since we had both been to Vegas many times before, a quick Google search for new things led us to see the Princess Diana Exhibit at the Aria, check out the Hello Kitty Cafe and Haus of Gaga at the Park MGM and attend the interactive exhibit and movie at the Sphere.

Time for a little break before heading to the MGM for an amazing dinner at the 3-star Michelin restaurant, Joel Robuchon. This culinary experience was worthy of its own post, from the table side bread and butter service all the way to the sweets cart to end the night! A truly delightful event!

Finally, the weather cooperated, and we were off to the Grand Canyon with Maverick Helicopter Tours, swinging by Hoover Dam before setting down in the canyon to admire the views. What a jaw dropping moment!

A little more fun on the Strip before our concert – a quick stop at the Museum of Selfies and a private tour of the Voltaire concert venue, before we headed to Bouchon for a steak dinner. Then it was time, to don our sparkly outfits and head to the Kylie Minogue, More than Just a Residency concert at the Voltaire (See separate blog about this EPIC concert)!

This trip was one for the books – an amazing time with an even more amazing and generous friend! It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience that I will treasure always!
