After arriving in Nuremberg from Frankfurt and dropping our bags at the hotel in Old Town, we set out to explore the nearby churches. Within five minutes of our hotel, we visited:
- St. Martha Kirche: A charming church with beautiful stained glass windows.
- St. Klara Kirche: Known for its serene atmosphere and historical significance.
- St. Lorenz: A stunning Gothic church with intricate architecture and impressive interiors.

Christmas Market in Lorenzer Platz
Next, we checked out the Christmas Market in Lorenzer Platz. The festive atmosphere, twinkling lights, and delightful stalls selling holiday treats and crafts made for a magical experience.

We took the U-Bahn to the Nuremberg Trials Memorium, where we saw the courtroom used for the trials. This visit was a sobering reminder of the atrocities of World War II.

As darkness fell at 4:45 pm, we embarked on a city train tour. Seeing Nuremberg lit up at night was a magical experience, highlighting the city’s beauty and charm.

After a quick stop at the hotel to drop off our shopping bags, we visited the Way of Human Rights Memorial. This poignant site is dedicated to the promotion of human rights and serves as a powerful reminder of the city’s commitment to justice.

We continued our exploration with a visit to St. Jakob Church and the Jacobplatz market. The highlight was a ride on the ferris wheel, offering stunning views of the city.
